Published foundation
The Ideaspace Protocol is MIT-licensed and provisional before 1.0. Its published package is @ideaspaces/protocol. The public repository contains the spec, schema, reference TypeScript library, shared skills, and conformance kit.
The compatibility boundary
The protocol owns portable shape and operating semantics. Each plugin or harness owns its tools, permissions, session lifecycle, and native experience. The CLI provides shared command-line mechanics, while hosted sharing and sync remain optional.
